As the title says i would like to see a new protector like title for completing WiK and the upcomming Cantha content (and maybe this new nuclear love parade wedding extravaganza could be included aswell)

It could replace the drunkard title for those NON ALCOHOLIC players who would like to get GWAMM.

The content isn't big enough for a title of its own imo. Plus you already get rewards for oppressor weapons from it.

I don't think it will be as long-winded as any of the current titles to obtain, and it has been made easier as the new content has rolled out too so takes even less time.

There is no major input required specifically for this content, it's a few quests and some massive rewards to showcase the storyline for GW2. In-game advertising to keep you busy and entertained for a little longer.

It would be then easiest, cheapest and most unrewarding title to obtain in the game.

I wouldn't mind a simple one-title reward seeing as we're veterans of a war now.

They could do something simple like not making it a part of GWAMM or the HoH if they really care that much about it, but it would still be pretty cool.

Replace Drunkard with some piss easy title to get people Gwamm who dont like to grind..sorry its 3-4 years too late for that..what about those alot who already have grinded their arse off for gwamm back from 07 already.Gwamm is completely optional and cosmetic..if you want it you grind it.

its not about grinding its about the stupid mechanic involving the title to just fck around 6 days drunked with blurred screen doing nothing or using some stupid glitch to sspeed up the process

This. it already counts towards the HoM.

I'd be all for an extra non-3-year-long-account-based-grind-title to remove the need for drunkard, but there are way better ways of going about it than adding an extra title that pretty much amounts to something petty like another Protector.

You don't need the drunk title to acquire the gwamm title. Even if you did, you don't need to sit around doing nothing all day. You can just drink some ale while you are actually playing the game. You will even benefit from some skills this way.

Well... you kind of do.

Treasure hunter, seeker of wisdom, zaishen, and kurz, all of the PvP's are not feasible for anyone that's started GW less than 2 years ago.

Someone unfortunate enough to miss the Survivor/LDoA bandwagon on their main will find themselves deadlocked at 28/30. Which translates into Lux/Drunk grind.

kurz/lux/wisdom/treasure are all grinds yes, but they are legit options. Watch for double weekeds and you can easily cut your grind in half.

If you decide to pick Drunk then that's your choice, but no, you don't need it for gwamm. My main point is that you don;t need to stand in town doing nothing to get your drunk title. You have option. Maybe you could start power trading, take the time to sell off some items clogging up your inventory, or play through the game while drunk. There is also the option of zoning/running through portals to get your minutes. If someone decides to stand in town, doing nothing, saying he needs the title for gwamm, thats on him. He had other options and decided to pick the most boring route possible...

I have just reached my 1 year birthday in guildwars, and have 28 titles towards gwamm... gwamm is actually a joke.. as for drunkard I am at 9998, and r11 kurzick pretty much from using drunken skills...btw I play a paragon.

Maybe once all the content is out it could lead to a title.
If there are at least 2 more war story lines for Factions and Nightfall and maybe a final pull all the story lines together quest all of that might be worth a title.
Its already doing a lot for the hom since you get oppressor weapons which are a lot easier and cheaper to get than Destroyer or Tormented weapons.

You also according to the news get a new hero which would count in the hom.
Quite a few points available so far.

Those are suprisingly good stats for a 1st year, but still a long ways to go for max. This is exactly why faction allegiance and drunkard are still viewed as necessary for GWAMM.

Agreed. (I know this from 1st hand experience) With Survivor, the easiest title to max to get that 30th title is Drunkard. There is absolutely no reason to just "stand around" drinking to get the title. I'm currently working on my 2nd GWAMM (I have no life -

) and at just over 57 hours of game play on her, she's got nearly 1,500 minutes (25 hours) towards drunk - AND she's got just over 1.6 million XP. It's a simple process: Lower your graphics to elimiate the drunk effect. Using 3-minute drinks, fire one off every once in a while while out questing and stuff. (Use the 1-minute drinks while in town buying/selling stuff, chatting, or whatever.)

this is a very bad idea. if you want gwamm you have to grind for it. after 18months of playing this game i had gwamm with max lux/kurz. and i didnt have to get drunkard

The content is too small for a title and you get oppressor weapons for the HoM.

On GWAMM : for money titles, halloween said "hi" less than a month ago(also said "bye"

but wintersday is coming). And even if you didn't jump on the DTSC/MQSC wagon before it got harder, well it's still easier to max kurz and lux. Also you could have gotten survivor, so that's one less title to go.

Newsflash: Not all content needs a title. WiK actually isn't that long if you cut out the trivial stuff like watching the talk bits and such. Oppressor Weapons are your reward anyway.
